DORSET SOCIETY
The fourteenth annual meeting of the New Zealand, Society of Dorset Men Beyond the Sen-s was held in Dustin's rooms on Tuesday evening. The annual report stated that the past year had been a very quiet one as far as the society was concerned. Seven new members had joined up. Information was received, of the death of Captain Herbert Caines, hon. secretary, New South Wales branch. The balance-sheet showed the finances of the society to he in a healthy condition. Both Teport and balance-sheet were adopted. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows :—President, Mr. H. J. Poole; vice-presidents, Messrs. E. A. Weld, Freebom Parsons, J. R. Cornish, J. Besant, H. J. Poole, C. H. Dement, W. Seavil, R. Seavil, S. P. Hooper, James Aplin; chairman, Mr. 0. H. Dement; hon. secretary, Mr. H. J. Moore; hon. treasurer, Mr. H. D.
