The first meeting of the Combined Unions of Manaw^tu and Horowhenua was held last night, and the representative team to meet Southland on Wednesday was selected as follows :—Cowie (M.), Ransfield (H.), Wilson (H.), Bailey' (M.), Brophy (M.),' Winiata (H.), Akuira (M.), M'Donald (M.), Reid (M.), Corby (H.), Tuna (H.), Jacob (H.), captain; M'L'ean (H.), Moynihan (H.), Jackson (M.); emergencies, backs, Proctor (H.), Mullins (M.)i forwards, M'Arthur (H.), R. Peebles (M.).
