kett scored for the Bay' and Bowers converted. Just on the interval Foskett again scored. The kick missed. At half-time the score was 8 to 3 in Golden Bay's favour. Ten minutes after resuming play Connolly scored for Marlborough, Hodson converting, making the scores level. Then J. Holyoake potted a beautiful goal for the Bays. Hodson scored for Maryborough, and again, just on the.call of time, set Byrne arid Phillips in action, the Litter scoring the winning try in a pe.rfect pandefiionium of excitement. The kick failed, leaving Marlborough winners by 14 points to 12.
