BUDGET OF TREATIES
FRENCH DRAFTS COMING TO
LONDON,
(UNITED FR£SS ASSOCIATION—COPSRIOHT.)
(AUSttAUAN-NiW ZIALAND CASH ASSOCIAriON.) LONDON, 7th August. It is. understood that it has been definitely arranged that M. Briand, M. Berthelot, and experts will arrive in London on Monday evening, and remain until Wednesday. Mr. Baldwin has summoned a meeting of Cabinet for Tuesday.
The "Daily Telegraph's" diplomatic correspondent says M. Briand is bringing a draft of a Rhincland pact and drafts of Franco-German, German-Pol-ish, and German-Czech .arbitration treaties, and would expect Belgium to base a Belgo-German treaty on the Franco-German model, though M. Vandervolde (tho Belgian Foreign Minister) has probably his own ideas. The correspondent hints at tho possible disillusionment of M. Briand, arising from tho i'act that the elaborate documents will probably not take full uccouut of the British and German reservations already notified, and suggests that it is improbable that final decisions can bo reached. Moreover, it is known that the Germans liavo drafted their own arbitration treaty for submission to France.
