FROZEN MEAT MARKET.
Messrs. Levin and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from their London agents, dated 7th August:—"Frozen meat quotations (prices on a 'delivered' basts; i.e., including storage charges, cartage, tolls, etc.): Down lambi, 28-42, ll}d per lb; best North Island, 28-42, lljd; ordinary North Island, 28-42, lid; second quality lambs, Hid; best North Island wether sheep, 48-64, 7|d; best North Island wether sheep, 04-72, 7d; ordinary North Island wether sheep, -48-64, 7Jd; North "Island ewes, 48-64, s}d; North Island ewes, 04-72, 6d; New Zealand .prime ox beef, 10Q-220, 4|d. Market quiet, but firm at tbe above prices."
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., has received tbe following cablegram from its London bouse, under date of 7th August:—"New Zealand Frozen Meat: Lamb, ll|d per lb (average). Mutton: Wether and maiden ewe, light, 7|d per lb; heavy, OJd per lb; ewe, llghs, 5Jd per lb; heavy, 5Jd per lb. Market ilow."
