QUEEN'S THEATRE.

The high standard which has been set by the Queen's Theatre management was well niaintained last evening, when " Coming Through," a romance of the Alabama coal mines, was screened for the first time. The featured artists are Thomas Meighan, Lila Lee, and WalJace Beery, and the picture provides each with "an excellent opportunily of displaying histrionic abiliaty which is undoubtedly theirs. Thomas" Meighan is starred as the superintendent of a lough mining camp, and, despite many difficulties, he manages to win through and transform the camp into a model of discipline and efficiency. Excellent support is forthcoming from Lila Lee, who gives a ! really delightful performance, and Wallace Beery, the arch-villian of the screen. Good supporting films are shown, including the latest news of the world, a Tasmanian scenic production, "Dervvent River and New Norfolk," and an amusin<r comedy, "Court Plaster." Altogether the programme is a most enjoyable one, and it is enhanced by the pleasing music provided by the Queen's Select Orchestra.
