NORMAL RUNNING
ON THE RAILWAYS
MAIN TRUNK TIME-TABLE
RESUMED.
The disorganisation of train services by the floods in the North Island has been overcome, and normal traffic between Auckland and Wellington has been resumed.
" The 12.45 p.m. Main Trunk express left to-day as usual, and is expected to get through to Auckland on time. There will be a slight delay at Makerua, near Shannon, where a small bridge was undermined, as the express will be obliged to run slowly over that section of line. The big slip at Piriaka has been cleared.
Yesterday's "limited" and ordinary expresses did not leave from either end, but a train was dispatched this morning at 1 a.m. from Auckland, and will reach Wellington at 7.30 o'clock this evening. A special train was dispatched from Wellington at 10.40 p.m. yesterday, and was due to reach Auckland at 4.15 o'clock this afternoon.
