INTERRUPTIONS ON RAILWAYS

■ The interruption.- to the railway line near Shannon is the result of a scour under the piles of a bridge deck. It was shored up with railway sleepers, enabling carriages to be pushed across' one by one, the passengers walking. The "Limited" passed through six hours late. It will be two or three days before the bridge is restored sufficieutly'to allow engines to pass over it. '
