LATE PRIME MINISTER
A NATIONAL MEMORIAL.

AUCKLAND, 25th May
A public meeting, convened by the Mayor, decided to provide a fund, by public subscription, as Auckland's contribution towards the national memorial to the late Prime Minister. A committee was set up to control the fund which will eventually be handed over io the national committee already suggested by the Government.
