The weather was fine and the tracks, despite the recent rain, were in gopd order for training operations at Ellerslie this morning. The No. 1 grass track and hurdles erected on the outside of the course proper were available.

On No. 1 grass track Bute Sound defeated Eight and Left and Tresillian over seven furlongs in lmin 36sec. Gala Day beat Sleepy Sol over six furlongs covered in lmin 18 4-ssec.

Whizbro finished in front of Allegiance at the end of six furlongs, the last four taking 54 3-ssec. Ballymoy was better than Charlady over six furlongs in lmin 21 l-ssec, and Namutere was tod good for Exactly over five furlongs in <lmin 4 4-Ssec.

Aiiev breakfast Royal Form; and Uralla covered the last three furlongs of a sprint in 41sec.

Marble Bell was in front of Joy Ride, the last five furlongs of a sprint' taking lmin 10 2-sseo.

Llewellyn beat Ginger Carl over a round in 2min 6 4-ssec, and Arch Amie, Cohesion, and Miss Ebon were in that order at the end of five furlongs in lmin 10 2-ssec.

Peach Brandy, Sir Archie, and a companion went four furlongs in 53sec, finishing as named. Pompey went four furlongs in 51 4-ssec.

Killute, Waltzer, Barometer, and Quincoma finished in that order at the end of five furlongs left behind in lmin 7sec.

Lady Ridicule did half a mile in 54 2-Ssec.

The jumpers Sir Eoseberry, Boomerday, Narrow Neck, Mary Bruce, and Young Thurnham set out over five hurdles on the course proper. Young Thurnham fell at the hurdle along thp back, and his rider, R. M'Tavish, had his collarbone broken and was taken to the hospital. Sir Eoseberry was iv front at' the finish, with Boomerday, Narrow Neck, and Mary Bruce nest. Kawinij Auburn, Marble Glass, and Kauri Park were given a similar task. Marble Glass fell at the hurdle along the back, but was remounted, while Kauri Park fell on the flat. Kawini was an easy winner from Auburn.

Irish Jig, Bright Light, Yankee Dan, and Poteen went for a round over the hurdles in the centre of the course, Yankee Dan falling. Irish Jig was in front at the finish. Yankee Dan afterwards jumped two hurdles. Panache jumped the hurdles in the centre well, and Aircraft'was given a school over the hurdles in the centre, but jumped high. Butcher and Pukehuia were allotted similar tests.

Peter Amans, Gambler's Gold, and Scintillation set out for a round over the big fences, including tho hjjj. Scintillation dislodged his rider at the water jump, and after getting over the nest obstacle was pulled up. Peter Amans jumped well throughout, and was a comfortable winner from Gambler's Gold.

Highway, Chaplin, and Serene have arrived.
