THANKSGIVING SERVICE
GREAT ASSEMBLY AT-WEMBLEY.

LONDON, 24th May. An Empire thanksgiving service was held in tho Wembley Stadium this afternoon. It was a solemn and impressive ceremony. ' In spite of chilly and stormy weather, 80,000 people were present. The King was accompanied by the Queen, Prince Henry, the Duke and Duchess of York, Princess Mary, Viscount -Lascelles, the Duke of Connausht and Prince and Princess Arthur of C'onnaught. Lord Cave, Mr. Amery, Mr. W. 0. Bridgeman, and Sir Cunliffe Lister were present. A massed choir of 3000 voices and massed bands supplied the music.
