"THE GOOD LUCK BALL."
Most people in Wellington have heard of the redoubtable Three Musketeers, but it is .expected that even these romantic heroes will fade into their dim and distant past compared with the three special features which will be presented at "The Good Luck Ball," to be held in the Town Hall and Concert Chamber on Wednesday evening, in aid of the Community Club, Buckle street. These special features will comprise : (1) A grand parade of living mascots, the nrst of the kind ever seen in Wellington.;, (2)-, "Good Luck" decorations, which will be delightfully unique; and (3) the best of music by Tutschka's two orchestras. In order to attract the utmost originality the executive is offering a gold wristlet watch for the Jady s best mascot dress, and further special prizes for the best mascot hat worn by a lady and by a gentleman. A fourth prize will also be given for the best lady s paper dress. The leading features of the decorations will be black cats and golden horseshoes, while greenery and flags wfl] be in su fe cient a ß bund . ance to provide the most attractive setting.
