"WILDFLOWER."

Another crowded house greeted tin. performance of "Wfldfiower" at the Urand Opera House on Saturday even'i ing, when previous successes were r&peated, hearty laughter and pronounced applause being the order of the evening, -the last performances are now announced. On Wednesday evening the company- will produce "The Cousin from iNowhere." At The Bristol Piano Company this morning the box plans opened for the five presentations of "The Cousin from Nowhere," including the afternoon performance on Saturday next. lhe first performance is to be staged on Wednesday night. Judging by its wonderful triumphs in Australia, "The Cousin from Nowhere" could easily have held the' boards for an indefinite period in Wellington, but unfortunately, owing to the fact that the theatre is required for another attraction, the present season must positively close on Saturday night, therefore only the five performances can be staged here of this delicious musical comedy. It brings back memories of the works of Gilbert and Sullivan, as the«plot is a real one and the humour is interwoven into the story; As Julia Van Osten, Miss Burke achieved an outstanding triumph in Australia, the character giving this talented artist every opportunity to display her excellent soprano voice and to present her artistry in quite a different manner to that she displayed in the opening opera. Miss Floie Allan is an established favourite in Wellingtoti,' and playgoers will doubtless give her a welcome on Wednesday when she appears as Freda, a character she sang, acted, and danjed with remarkable success in Sydney. The remainder of the cast is excellent and quite equal to the' exigencies of the opera.
