SPEED AT SEA
PLANS FOR FAST ATLANTIC JOURNEY,

Gar Wood, the speedboat champion, says he is making plans to attempt to cross the Atlantic in 48 hours from Newfoundland to Cowes in 1927. To do this his boat will have to maintain a speed of 60 miles per hour, and refuel from a steamship stationed at sea. Wood is also planning a speedboat capable of doing 100 miles an hour.
