HUTT RIVER RISING
Heavy ram fell last evening and is slill falling in the upper reaches of the Hutt .Valley, and 'in consequence the Hutt Eiver is running many feet above normal. At noon it was still rising rapidly, bringing down quantities of driftwood and other debris.
