GIRL SHOT BY HER FATHER.
BRISBANE, 21sfc May. A tragedy was perpetrated near Bockhampton, when Oliver Johnson Duck 39 years of age, is alleged to have shot his illegitimate daughter, Olive Violet Duck 13 years, and carried the body about on horseback all.night, and buried it at dawn in the sand. Then late in the afternoon he surrendered to the Calliope police. .1 he girl had been reared by her grandmother; Duck had lately expressed a wish to claim her, and put her into ;i convent.
