The expected reduction of the Press cable rates to Australia to 6d a word has been delayed, pending the Imperial Treasury's sanction, which is necessary before the British Post Office's proportion of the reduction can become effective.. Both tho Pacific Cable Board and the Commonwealth Government have already confirmed their willingness to reduce the rates.
