MAN KILLED INSTANTLY.

PUKEKOHE, This Day. Arthur Octanus Lnpwood (37) was killed last night at Mototehie ■ Island 12 miles from Tuakau. He was employed hauling flax with a Fordson tractor and it was customary for the machine to clear its own track, pushing down cabliage trees. It struck a. firm tree which the machine commenced to climb and fell backwards, pinning Lapwood by the chest. Deatli was instantaneous Deceased was a widower with four children.
