LONDON, 20th May
Mr. A. F. Roberts escorted the Queen on a visit to the New Zealand pavilion, at Wembley. Her Majesty was particularly interested in the Rotorua diorama. She was charmed by the expensive views of the mountains and thermal district, and said she thought the colouring splendid. She recalled her visit to New Zealand, and also the names of the guides, and inquired whether they were still living. Seeing the views o"f Milford Sound and the Waitomo Caves, she expressed regret that sho had not visited those places. After a thonnigh inspection of the exhibits, she commented on the wonderful display. She was keenly interested to learn that the 1924 Exhibition had benefited New* Zealand's trade. Mr. Roberta said that the publicity to be gained this year was likely to increase further the demand for New Zealand products.
