PARIS, 20th May. M. Pamlcve, in a statement on tho Moroccan war, declared that France does not desire colonial expansion, but only the establisliement of a lasting peace that will conform with French dignity. The Government could . not avoid the campaign without abandoning to the ianatical Eiffs the whele of Morocco, and eventually leading to the loss of the whole of the French North African possessions.
