COURT CASES

Mr. W. G. Riddell, S.M., presided at the Magistrate's Court yesterday. One first offending inebriate was fined 10s, and two others were convicted and. discharged. John Casey, a seaman, was fined £2 on the charge of the theft of an overcoat valued at £3 10s. Albert Winsor, alias George Joseph Winsor, alias Albert Joseph Windsav. pleaded guilty' to charges of breaking and entering and theft at Day's Bay and Rona Bay, and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.

Two young men named David William Fisher and James William Young, pleaded guilty to breaking and entering the premises of Bierre and Ancell's, mercers, and stealing goods to the value of £32 16s They were further charged with the theft of a hat, coat, and scarf, to the total value of £9 ss, from Henry Fulcher Harvey. Both were committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
