CONCERT BY MISS GEORGE'S PUPILS.

A concert of unusual merit was that given at tho Presbyterian Church Hall last night by pupils of Miss George. The items were well varied, and were executed in an excellent manner, the whole passing off with a great swing. The opening piece was a playlet, entitled "Listening to the Mandolins," in which the following took part : Misses Lea, D. Robson, P. and T. Ashworth, M. Mulford, T. Overend, M. Aulin, E. Bourke, Cook Simmonds, Messrs. Aitchison Turnbull, Cook, and O'Donohue. Songs, monologues, elocutionary items, and instrumental pieces comprised the balanca of the first _half of the programme. The second portion of the entertainment included the humorous sketch, "Oh, My Nerves," which had a good reception from the large audience. The performers were Mrs. Smith, and Misses A. Woodward, L. Eutledge, G. .M'Conchie, and I. Saunders. There were.also several comendable itms, among them being "Pastoral" by the Waiata Quartette.
