SOCCER CONTROL

The Management Committee of the Wellington Football Association met last evening, Mr. W. Duncan presiding. There were also present Messrs. F. Smith, C. Dick, H. Spolsky, B. Mabin, E. Heath, B. Martin, A."Harding, E. Weir, W. Heseltine, and A. Williams (hon. see.). It was decided to apply for. the following dates for the Basin Eeserve:— 13th and 27th June, 11th and 25th July, 22nd August. Tho following transfers were approved: —H. Hawthorn from Institute to Island' Bay, third grade; E. H. Burbush from Thistle to Brooklyn; N. Bing from Diamonds to Thistle; J. Cunningham from Brooklyn to Institute, third division. The fixtures committee recommended that the Victory Cup be allocated to the senior B division, and the Charity Cup to the senior A division, making two separates competitions; that the first round of the Charity and Victory Cups be played on 6th June in conjunction with the League matches; if at the end of full time the match is a, draw, that to stand as League result, and extra time is to be played to determine the cup result. The recommendations were adopted.

The quarterly summoned meeting of the Loyal Sister Wallis Lodge (Manchester Unity Oddfellows), was held in the lodgeroom, Clyde quay. Sister M. Hargreaves, N.G., presided over a large attendance of members. One new member was initiated into the Order. Invitation to a social evening was received from the Loyal Britannia Lodge, which was accepted. The lodge decided to pay an official visit to the Loyal Rose of the Valley Lodge next month. The following officers were elected for the next term :— N.G., Sister R, Patton; V.G., Sister E. Tobin; E.S., Sister Z. Pattern; Warden, Sister E. Allen; Guardian, Sister I>, Allen'.
