"MEETING. OF CABINET.
The political situation continues "to be the subject of close attention, and interest-is-steadily concentrating on the caucus of tho Reform Party, to be held iiext Wednesday.; The opinion. generally held is that the ' caucus will give sup-port-to Mr. Coates.
It is understood that the Hon. A. D. M Leod does pot desire to be a candidate for the leadership of the party, and that he prefers to give. support to the claims of Mr. Coates. '
A lengthy meeting of Cabinet was held to-day, but at its conclusion the Prime Minister (the Hon. Sir Francis Bell) ptated. that.there was nothing for publication.
