LODGE MEETINGS

The regular meeting of VWellesley Lodge (Juvenile Branch) No. 7, 1.0.0. F., N.Z., was held last week, Bro. G. L. Christsen, N.G., presiding. Two juvenile members were reported sick, two "; candidates elected, arid two further lads nominated:: ■■••■

Rose of Wellington Rebekah Lodge. No 38, 1.0.0. F., r N.Z., held its fortnightly meeting''last week, Sister E. Jones, N.G., presiding. An ; official visit was received from ' the Lady D.D.G.M. (Sister E. Maley, P.N.G.) and suite of P.N.G.'s, -who also carried out tho initiation of two lady candidates, and-held a practice installation. One' brother was nominated.for membership. Sister Hill conveyed greetings from City of Sydenham Rebekah. Lodge, Christchurch. . ' / ' ' .

The installation of the eighth local male branch 1.0.0. F., N.Z., was carried out last week at Lower Hutt, when Bellevue Lodge, No. 126, was formally inaugurated. A very large number of members from-city lodges, also from Muritai Lodge, No. 113, Eastbourne, and Heretaunga Lodge, No. 115, Petone, were present. The institution ceremonial was conducted by the District Deputy Grand Master (Pro. H. Dames, P.G.), and district officers, and initiation of members of the new lodge by Brq. J. F. Miller, P.G., and suite drawn from - kindred lodges. The following officers were elected and duly installed for the first term :—Bros. F. J. Jones, J.P.G.; C. Breach, N.G., H. M'Kerrow, V.G.; E. J. Bird; F. Secretary; A. Judd, R. Secretary;_ F. M. Henry, warden: R. Kells, Chaplain"; T. M. IVJartin, R.S.N.G.; S. T. Kay, L.S.N.G.; C. F. Orr. 8.,5. V.G.; J Angus, L.S.V.G.; L. Parkes, 1.G.; and L. A. V. Fawcett, O.G. Bros: R. Kells, L. Parkes, and J. Angus were elected trustees. Congratulatory addresses were made by representatives of kindred lodges present, and a further strong batch of candidates will be 'initiated at next meeting. -Cleveland Lodge, No. 13, 1.0.0 F., N.Z., held- its fortnightly meeting' at Brooklyn last Wednesday evening, Bro. J. Prjdmore, N;G., .presiding. In addition to routine business, P.G.s Bros. "F; J. Jones and G. F: Rudkin, district representatives, gave a resume of proceedings, at recent Grand Lodge Session at Whangarei. P.G. Bro.
