COMING CHAMPIONSHIPS.

The Harriers' Sub-Committee of the Wellington Ccntro of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association met last evening, Mr. W. Scatchard presiding. It was decided that the distance for the Wellington provincial cross-country championship be 10,000 metres, that the distance be permanently measured, and that the race be held on the Hutt course.

A recommendation is to be made to tiie Wellington Club that the race for the Vosseler Shield be open to an unlimited number from any club, but that the first ten men -to finish constitute the winning team. On the recommendation of Mr. Hall it was decided to urge the New Zealand Council to put forward the New Zealand championships one week, to loth August. It w.is resolved that the provincial championships be held two weeks prior to the New Zealand championships. It Was also decided that the Australasian championships, which follow tho New Zealand!championships, be held on the Hutt Park racecourse.

Tho following conditions were put forward .by the Hutt Valley Club in connection with the Dome Cup :—(1) Tho winning team to he the first ten of any club to finish; (2) the distance, to be five miles; (3)• race-always to be run in the Hutt v Vallcy.
