,A financial statementi showed:—Receipts from'art union to date £757 6s 4d, entry fees £5.105, space let for next show £1068 14s, at 'bank' £433 6s 4d, on fixed deposit • £1000:: ■ It was - mentioned that costs in connection with the unsuccessful police action' concerning the association's art union had amounted to> £70. - ' : ' ■•'.'■

The Space Committee reporter the allocation of space amountuig to 12,000 square feet. Stands for tie. next showare to be limited to 10 feet high, and ai prize is to be offered for the best etall.. The committee^ decided to retain the fruit and confectionery stalls on its own behalf, but not to interfere with fruitgrowers taking orders at their own stalls. . ■ • ■ ■ . ■•■-..■■

The Finance Committee was appointed to confer with the Industrial Association to come to an arrangement suitable to both organisations. .' It was decided to ask Sir Francis Bell to accept the position of president of the show; ■'"■....'.'■ ' '."' '" '"'
