FURTHER TRIBUTES.

Expressions of sympathy with thd family of the lateMrf Massey have been passed by the Film Exchanges Association of New Zealand, the Council of the New Zealand' Golf Association, the •Imperial Economic Committee-, 1 'London, and the Governor of Southern Rhodesia. Af the nibrnirig' service at St. Mark's Church, on Sunday, the vicar t the Rev. H. E. K. Fry, M.A., referring to the late Prime Minister, quoted from his speech in the House of Representatives in July last, in .which he declared that "the more growing people dan learn about the Bible the better it will be for them and for the nation. Jt is the basis of our religion, and I believe, is the basis of our civilisation.". The* TL&v. Mr. Fry suggested that there, could, be no better memorial to the late Prime Minister than the practical application.of. such advice,, and that such, a project as the rebuilding of St. Mark's Church- School, and all the church's work along the Ijnes of. the Boy Scout and Girl Guide movements would have his. blessing and approval. He ■ mentioned -that'the late' Prime Minister had consented to take part in the Masonic'service recently held ■ at St. Mark's, but was prevented by hi« illness. " ".". "' -„

At'tbe nieeting of the: Wellington District Ministers' Council-of the Methodist Church, held to-day,, a resolution of sympathy with Mrs. Massey and family was passed, all members standing in silence.
