DANCING.

The popular Violet Assembly will hold its mid-week dance to-night. Miss Murphy's Orchestra will supply the latest, music, and the floor should be in perfect order. There will be twenty prizes as usual in the lucky waltz competition.

A social and dance will be held in the Labour Social Club Rooms, 80, Manners street, to-morrow night, 8 o'clock.

The opening jazz of the Britannia Assembly was held in tho Early Settlers' Hall last night and proved a great success. A special feature of tho evening was an exhibition jazz by Mr. Winter and Miss •'Hanniball. Mr.. M. Domb made an efficient M.C.

To-night the De Luxe Assembly are holding their Old-time Dance in the Victoria. Hall, Adelaide road. Those who attended on Saturday spent a. most enjoyable time, and great excitement prevailed during the novelty . dances. Special attention is being given to novelty dances.
