Friday next will see the advent of the tremendous masterpiece, "The Creation," or "After Six Days," a production ol rare grandeur, which pictures with colossal success the stirring stories of the Old Testament. Of it Roger Ferri, the American reviewer, has written as follows :—

"After Six Days" is a production of the most lavish and luxurious sort brought to this country from the Italian studios. It is a colourful spectacle that will still bo drawing the public when all other pictures now on the market have ceased to interest the public. , x If one had been told five years ago that the Bible could be produced either on the stage or screen for entertainment purposes, one would' have smiled. Yet it's been done, for "After Six Days" is the best kind of entertainment, the sort that will bring to the moving picture theatres thousands who "have steered clear of them—and more than that, it furnishes convincing proof , that the screen is a blessing to civilisation. "After Six Days" is seemingly one endless series of spectacularly marvellous sets. This reviewer has. never seen anything so beautiful, so picturesque as the pretentious palaces, • old world streets, etc.,- as are reproduced in this feature. There has .been- no exaggeration, no effort made to.distort. Briefly, it tells the story embodied in the Old Testament ma more comprehensive, emphatic, and convincing manner than the text ..itself.: . Cinematographically/ it. is a masterpiece. The photography represents the last word in that art. The- creation of man...and ,his mate, the'stars,, the. sun,, the moon, the "parting of waters; the floods, the story of Joseph, and countless other episodes in the Old Testament are .'all convincingly picturised. , Children will find in this production" an incentive for reading the Bible. The older folk will marvel at its beauty,' its' realism, and its ' ma'ssiven'ess. In''brief, there is no one to whom this 'production does not appeal"' ■ ; ' ■■-Handel's "Creation" music, rendored by an augmented orchestra, will embellish the unfolding of the film. Box plans are at the Bristol
