TRAGEDY IN GERMAN MINE.

BERLIN, 16th May. There was a terrific explosion at the Dortsfeld rnino, near Dortsinund, where five hundred men are employed. The explosion was due to the blowing up of an explosives store and the released gases penetrated the pit. Most of the employees succeeded in escaping. So far five dead and twentyfive injured have been recovered.. Thirty are missing.
