It is recognised in political circles that the situation in Morocco is - serious. Abd-el-Krim still holds the initiative, and the Riffs' persistent onslaughts on widely separated outposts is gravely hampering the movements of the French, who are planning a big offensive for June.
The Riffs, have, for a fortnight, teen besieging a blockhouse at Eiband, defended by 2? Senegalese under -French non-commissioned officers. Artillery is now Bhelling the besiegers preparatory to an attempt to relieve the garrison.
