LYALL BAY SAND DRIFT
The preliminaries for the abatement of,the Lyall Bay sand drift, stated the Mayor (Mr. R. A. Wright) this morning, are happily almost at an end. The" position now was that a date was to be fixed for the hearing of objections to the allocation of the cost of the work among residents and property owners. When these objections were considered ■and decided upon by a Magistrate, an Order-in-Council would bo granted the council to proceed with the work.
