KARORI DEFEAT WESLEY.
Superior combination enabled Karori to defeat Wesley by 2 goals to 1. The Wesley eleven comprised some very sound players, but, unlike the Karori men they seemed to be unable to work together. Wesley, however, were by no means outclassed by their doughty onponents and another goal to them would have been well-deserving. From a strong forward rush, Cooper opened up Aaron s scoring account, with a shot that gave .the Wesley goalkeeper no chance to effect a save. Karori continued to attack, but the Wesley defence fm W r? tHy ibr? kf away' SCTeral . times for Wesley, but he was not supported by the rest of the Blue forward line as he should have been, with the result that when he was forced to pass, the ball usually went to the stick ol a Karon man. Before half-time, though, Pyle succeeded in netting for Wesley In the second spell both sides maintained a good pace, although the rain Had made the ground slippery. Cooper again scored for Karori, but Wesley's first spell score remained unaltered the game ending Karori 2, Wesley 1 ' Mr Lunger was the referee.
