Market slow and lower prices huvo boon accepted. Stocks of Canadian are nearly exhausted. Official quotations are:— English.—Finest farmers', market firm and stocks small; 135s to I4os per cwt (Is 2^d to Is 3d per lb). New Zealand.—Coloured, 95s to 97s per cwt (lOd to 10id per lb); while, 96s to 97s per cwt (IOJd per lb).. Australian:—Coloured and white, 94s per cwt (lOd per lb); white, 100s per cwt (IOJd per lib). Shipments Now Zealand produce arrived this week per s.s. Waimana mid Port Curtis. Estimated stocks of cheese on the Ist May at London, Liverpool, and Bristol wero: Canadian and American, 4250 boxes: New Zealand and Australian 62.400 crates, against 5050 boxes and 131,----200 crates for same time last year. HEMP AND WOOL. Hemp.—Manila dull, but market closed steady. J grade, April-June shipments, quoted at £47 and value. New Zealand market quiet, with little more inquiries for afloat parcels. Highpoint fair in dock sold at £37 10s. fair £36. Business has been done in fair April-June shipments at .£34 15s. PEAS AND BEANS. Oats: No. 2 Canadian Western April shipment to Avonmouth sold 28s 4£d per 3361b. May shipment 28s. but only 27s obtainable at London. April shipment Canadian offered freely at 30s 6d to 31s 6d for best white and 26s to 28s for feed. Nominal values New Zealand May shipment 28s 6d per 3201b. Peas: Very little demand for blue.
