TRENTHAM TRACK NOTES

It was very pleasant at Trentham this morning, and the-tracks being in good order, some useful work was accomplished. So far no visiting horses have put in an appearance. The tan track was in general use, and provided good going. Carawoek was sent to canter once round before it was properly light, and finished up his task by sprinting home from the half-mile post in 49 3^ssec. He had only a light boy up, but, it was a good effort, and he is coming on welj. The two-year-old Assert fan three furlongs up the back in 42sec, and Laughingstock was also sprinted. Lake Uru, picked up by Bright Eyes at the half-milo post, ran six furlongs in lmin 17 1-osec, "the first two furlongs taking 26seu. Lake Uru was going the better of the pair at the finish. Matin Bell galloped seven furlongs in lmin 32sec, Ihe first three furlongs taking 39 l-sseo.

Wench was given steady half-pace work.

Mastp.r Sandstone was too good for Nayy Cut in a run over sis furlongs in lmm 1G 4-ssbo.
