PARAMOUNT THEATRE.

The present attraction at the Paramount Theatre, " Fisher's Ghost," a mystery story, founded on fact, and the second of the Jack Dempsey " Fight and Win" stories, will be finally screened this evening. Thomas Burkes Limehouse stories have supplied the material- for some of' the finest entertainments that have come out of the motion picture studios. Another of Burkes pen comes to the screen at the Paramount Theatre to-morrow, under the title "of "Curlytop," starring Shirley Mason. Maurice Elvey, the director, has utilised his first hand knowledge <jf London's Limehouse district and given " Curly topi' an atmosphere that adds much to the screen version. Shirley Mason is typical as the dainty Burke heroine. An excellent cast supports the star, Wallace Mac Donald, as Bill Branigan, makes a fine hero of the underworld, and Warner Oland as Shanghai Dan looks every bit the villain he is supposed to be. In conjunction with the above picture, the management are fitting up a " Curlytop" competition, for which cash prizes to the value of £25 are being offered.
