JOHNSONVILLE CLUB.

The Johnsonville ! Rugby , Football Club held its annual meeting recently, Mr. A. A. Moore (president) presiding over a good attendance of members and supporters.

Appreciation was expressed in the annual report to patrons for donations. The' financial poaitionof the club waa good, the income for the year exceeding the expenditure by £37. The balance-sheet showed an excess ot assets over liabilities of £246 17s. The season was an exceptionally good one, the success of the lower grade teams being very gratifying. The club received a visit from the Hui Mai Club, of Manakau,. and was narrowly defeated. A match was also played with Porirua, a draw resulting. The intermediate team made a holiday trip to Carterton, and although it was defeated the trip was keenly enjoyed. Congratulations were extended to "players who represented the club in representative matches. Through the efforts of Mr. L. Myers, Mr. A. Edwards and his concert party gave a benefit concert for the gymnasium fund, and thanks were tendered to. patrons for their attendance, and to Mr. Edwards and his party for their assistance.

The annual report and balance-sheet were adopted. •

Wackrow, H. Buick, J. C. Moore, W. Earl, E. Bould, T. Bowler, A. M'Kenzie, O. Angell, W. Skinner, C. Short, J. Lee, E. Henderson, D. Law, W. Mills, W. Willetts, Rev. Isaacson, and Eev. Father Griff en; honorary secretary and treasurer, Mr. E. Cook; assistant secretary, Mr. W. P. Carman; management committee, Messrs.' F. Jacobs, A. Cook, C. Watson, D. F. Mason, and H. D. Morgan; delegates W.R.F.U., Messrs. F. Jacobs and H. D. Morgan ; club captain-, Mr. H- Bramley; honorary auditor, Mr. W, Earl; gymnasium trustees, Messrs. F. Jacobs and H. D. Morgan.

Mr. H. D. Morgan, the retiring sec-retary-treasurer, was accorded'a vote of thanks for his past services.
