ANNUAL MEETING OF WELLINGTON CLUB.

The annual meeting of-the Wellington Hockey Llub was held last evening under the chairmanship of Mr. W. G. Moipeth. . ..■••.

The report of last season's activities was submitted, aud: stated that a senior and a junior team had been entered in the cup competitions. The senior team were runners-up in the senior grade competition, being one point behind the winners, and the junior team gained fourth place. Their respective l'ecords were as follow :—Senior team : (cupmatches) played 14, won 12, lost 1, drawn 1, goals for 51, .goals against 12. Junior team: (cup matches) played 16, won 8, lost 7, drawn 7, goals for 58, goals against 56. The renewed success of.the club was due to a great extent to the decided improvement shown by players m turning out regularly to matches;'but there was room for further improvement, and the committee trusted that every member would do his best during the coming season to make it a success by turning out regularly. The club registered a unique performance in having ten senior players chosen to represent the province during the season, these being Messrs. Armstrong, A*h\vm, Boyd, Guy, Jacobsen (captain and coach), Joblin, London, Martis, Sheppard, and Webster. Messrs f>u Plou and Taylor (captain) also gained junior representative honours. The statement of accounts revealed the club to be in a sound financial position there being a credit balance of £91 IGs da. :
