QUEEN'S AND PARAMOUNT THEATRES.
"A Society Scandal" will be shown tomorrow at the Queen's and Paramount Theatres, which brings Gloria Sivanson back to the screen as the old Gloria of the gorgeous gowns, frills, and iurbelows. More than this, however, her latest offering reminds us that she is a lady of outstanding dramatic and emotional talent besides. The combination is delightful. Miss Swanson has the role in this story of a society beauty, who becomes innocently involved in a compromising situation with a rotter, and is sued for divorce by her weakling husband. In the court her husband's lawyer, a handsome, over-zealous attorney, tears her reputation to shreds. Whereupon it be•comes the divorcee's chief aim in life to humiliate the lawyer in some way for the ruin he has brought on her socially. The manner in which she accomplishes her purpose goes to the making of one of the season's most fascinating society stories. In the supporting cast of the picture are Rod La Rogue and Ricardo Cortez. La Rogue plays the part of the lawyer.
