NEW PLYMOUTH, 22nd Oct? Two men, Charles Nicholl (aged 44) and: .William. Foster, (aged : 34), ; both '■ watersiders, and married, were drowned off Kawaroa Park this afternoon. The men left early in-the afternoon to go fishing in a dinghy, which capsized 300 yarde off the shore. Plucky rescue efforts resulted in Foster being brought ashore, but he was then dead. Nicholl was entangled in.the dinghy's gear, and his body was recovered by a launch. The ■boA was fairly; choppy, and it is presumed that the men-were both engaged on one.side of the boat, causing it ,to "upeet. /Nicholl had . rjo family,; bus Foster had two young children.
