The New Zealand Dairy Produce Control Board, at its meeting yesterday, confirmed the arran^ealents madeby the overseas delegation j foir .the. completion of a shipping contract.with the Associated^ Shipping .Companies1 for a period ending 31st July, 1927. < JThe. freight rate on butter has been to 4s per ,bos for the three yestra^"" For- the first two years,\, commencing; tfjst November, ,1924, the" freight rate ori;cheese is 29-32nds of a penny per lb, arid for ,the third ye4r | of a penny per lb. On the basiß of an export of 65,000 tons of butter and .65,----000 tons of cheese, this represents a saving of £121,875 per annum for the first two years and £140,833 for the third year. On a percentage basis it is a.re-:: duction 'of 11.1 per cent, on butter and an average reductionj for the three years of'lo.B per cent, on cheese. . '
