BIG PURSES TO BE OFFERED
IN AMERICA.

NEW YORK, 30th September. Plans for a series of four international horse races next year, two to be run in Kentucky and two in New York, have been presented to the chairman of the Belmont Jockey Club by Mr. Winn, manager of the Kentucky Jockey Club! The proposal involves purses aggregating 200,000 dollars. European thoroughbreds are to be invited to compete with United States horses.
