LONDON, 30th September.
Mr. J. H. Thomas, replying in the House of Commons, regarding the position in Irak, emphasised that there was no question of a state of war between Britain and Turkey. After "detailing the position he said that the British Government had not yet received a reply to its protetss to the Turkish Government against invasion. He added that the local authorities reported that the military situation was well in hand.
