LODGE MEETINGS
Wellealey Juvenile Lodgo, No. 7, 1.0. F., N.Z., held its bi-monthly meeting last Monday evening, Bro. G. C. Christensen, N-U., presiding. There was a good attendance) of juvenile members:, and one lad was elected a member and duly initiated. Delegates from several local 1.0.0.1*', adult lodges met to make preliminary arrangements for the annual Christmas treo function and picnic. Wildey Lodge, No. 107, 1.0.0. F., N.Z., held its fortnightly meeting at Island Bay on Wednesday evening, Bro. E. J. Oxeiiham, N.G., presiding. There was a good attendance. Members oE Cleveland Lodge, No. 13, Brooklyn, paid an official visit. Two candidates were elected and initiated in regular form. The lodge reviewed its progress, which shows an increase in membership by. one-third for three months.
Southern Cross Lodgo, No 24 1.0.0. F., N.Z., held its fortnightly meeting on Thursday evening, Bro. H. E. Amyes, N.G., presiding. There was a large attendance ciE members, and several visitors from kindred lodges were also present. One candidate was elected and initiated and three others nominated. The N.G. (Bro. W. J. Grondinl and officers of Heretaunga Lodge, No. 115, Petone, paid an official visit, and it was decided to return tho compliment at Heretaunga Lodge's next meeting. The fortnightly meeting of Pacific Lodge, No. 8, U.A.0.D., was held last week, A.D. Bro. Maurice Hynjan presiding over a fair attendance. Sick pay, maternity bonuses, and accounts totalling £256 os.sd were passed for payment. One new member was initialed mid ono member admitted by clearance. Delegates' reports wore received from Bros. Afawliinnoy, iryinan, Heame, and Kuoh. Visitors were" present from Coronation, Island Bay and Albion lodges. Star of Wellington Lodge of Good Templars held a vory successful fancy dress social last week, there being a large at- ; tendance of members, including visitors from Pioneer Lodge. Prizes were awarded to_ Sistor Symington, ■ "Indian Squaw ; Sister Hearlield, "Indian Chief" ; and Bro.
