ST. ANNE'S BAZAAR

Arrangement* are well in hand for St. Anne's bazaar and queen carnival to be held at St. Anne's Hall, Green street, Newtown. The opening ceremony will be carried out by Mr. R. M'Keen, M.P. for Wellington South at 7.45 p.m. on Saturday, 4th October. Enjoyable entertainments have "been prepared, and dancing displays will be given nightly by pupils of Misses Guise, O'Brien, Connop Gibbs, M'Millan, Messrs. J. Knowsley and Duncan M'Lellan, and the Irish Club. Additional attractions will be the various side-shows. Keen interest is being taken in the queen contest, tho position to date being: No. 1 Queen, 1240 votes; No. 2 Queen, 600 votes; No. 3 Queen, 3384 votes, and No. 4 Queen 2904 votes.
