BOXING CONTEST AT PETONE
The contest fo( the featherweight crown, v.\ch will be fought at the Palace Theatre, Petone, on Monday next between George Curran, holder of the title, and Bert Brown, the challenger. Brow_n has arrived in Petone to finish off his training, and has created a very favourable impression at the gymn. Curran, too, is reported to be in' first-class condition. The amateur bouts should prove interesting. The one most talked of is the contest in the heavyweight class between Joe Planius and Bob Fitzsimmons. The bus time-table is advertised in this issue.
