FAVOURABLE MOTION CARRIED.

NELSON, 30th September. A very large number of fruitgrowers at lasman considered 'the Fruit Control Bill. A motion in favour of adding a clause to protect the interests of the private trader was fully discussed, but subsequently withdrawn, as it was considered , that provisions 'of the Bill gave all the power necessary to deal with private trading. A motion favouring the Bill was declared carried unanimously.
