_Tho Wellington inter-club amateur billiards championship was concluded last evening, when, in a game of 500 up, A. Freeman (Returned Soldiers' Club) defeated B. Savage (Wellington Working Men's Club) by 23 points. The best breaks were:—Freeman 32, 33 41 34 23, 23; Savage 20, 31, 21, 39, 30, 23, 23^ 20. To the club that nominated the winner a silver shield was presented. The winner received a gold modal, and the runner-up the set of balls used during the tournament. A cue and case for the player making the highest break was won by H. Shanks.
