10-morrow, j n the Concert .Chamber of the Town Hall, ths Victoria College Debating Society will hold the annual Plunket Medal • Contest. ' Owing to the jenerpsity'of the late Lord Plunket, a medal, is.^presented-every year to the j member of the . society,- who makes the best speech on some man or woman of tike inhis'tbry;;: There are eighti competitors, each of whom will be allowed 12 minutes in which to deliver his speech. Tlie following is a list of speakers, with their subjects:—Mi\ F. MTarland (Joan of Arc), Mr. S. E. Baume (Nikolai ;"Lenin)," Mies A. B. Craig (W. E. Gladstoriejj ;Mr. ;J. G. Davidson (Ramsaj Mac Donald),, Mr. W. P: Rollings .(Loiiis Pasteur), Mr. R. F. Fortune (Joan of Arc), Mr; J.T.Steele" (Elijah), Mr. A. E. Hurley (W. E. Gladstone).
